Please add a UPC barcode lookup feature. It would be nice to scan a library add have it look up all videos by UPC>

I'll add fields (see the topic at the top of this section of the forum), but I do not really know what I could add more for this kind of feature... You mean scan the barcode to find the movie in the list, or to get info from Internet ?

heres a quick fix you can use in the IMDB script to scan in a UPC Hope it helps someone.....

Just wanted to update this OLD topic with my experiences with a barcode reader.

I'm using a usb netcat (modified) and it works pretty well. For looking up the movies I use the DVDempire script. It has worked well so far for me. One issue I did run into after buying a blueray player... it only looks up regular DVD's

I made a copy of the script and changed 1 thing in the lookup URL in the code.
near the end of the file, I added the bold text to search for blueray disks instead.
