I installed AMC a few months ago and then suddenly the scripts stopped working a while later. I assumed that it might have had something to do with my anti-virus software, so I checked the permissions and AMC was in the list of allowed programs to access the internet.
Anyway, I uninstalled the program (using Revo Uninstaller) and saved my movie lists. I just reinstalled AMC after running Crap Cleaner and the scripts still do not work.
I was going to post this in the scripts section, but I figured as it was a fresh install, I should post it here.
This is the version info from under the help tab in AMC:
---------------------------
Information
---------------------------
MovieCatalog.exe : version 3.5.1.2 (2/1/2009 6:15:50 PM)
AMCExchange.dll : version 1.1.0.1 (9/22/2007 10:47:54 AM)
AMCReport.exe : version 1.0.2.2 (1/15/2005 4:13:56 PM)
MediaInfo.dll : version 0.7.10 (1/30/2009 10:19:40 AM)
---------------------------
I use McAfee Internet Security 2010. Previously I was using Norton Internet Security 2009. Don't know if it helps, but there it is.
Additionally, I have an AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core 6000+, 3.01 GHz with 2 GB of RAM. None of this has changed since I originally installed AMC months ago.
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!
Fresh install, scripts not working
It is for ALL scripts. McAfee's list of programs shows that AMC has full access to the internet.
For instance, the AllMovie script reads, "HTTP/1.1 404 Not Found" and then I hit OK, and a new window opens reading, "AllMovie: Error reading selection page (id page= "")".
IMDB reads, "No movie found."
It appears the Blockbuster script works, though....

Isn't that just due to old scripts? Especially if you just reinstalled the program.
What about the "update scripts" script? Does it work? Does it find updates?
When did you download the program? I ask that because the version of MediaInfo seems old, as I updated it in December 2009 I guess that the DLL should be from late 2009.

The update scripts feature worked this time. It locked up a few times and got stuck in a loop telling me the script was out of date, that i needed to update. I did and then it would cycle through that over and over.
Problem solved!
By the way, I had just downloaded it a few days ago from the main site. Not from the mirror site with the non-updated install files.
