Mobile App (Iphone/Android)

Post by qhorse »

Hi guys,

Just wondering if anyone had ever think of creating an Android version of AMC :D

This could be really good !

I've tried to find something I could use to import my AMC DB on my droid but there is only one app on Android in this field (MyCollection) and it's nowhere near AMC. It doesn't meet my needs at all.

Cheers :grinking:

Nothing is planned for the moment (until I get an android-based smartphone maybe, and even then I do not know when I would find time for that), but maybe there are tools which could handle CSV files exported from AMC. Or you could make a HTML template for that (few weres made for pocketPC, they should work for Android).
But of course that would not let you manage the collection, just read it.

What features do you expect a mobile version of AMC to have?
Do you want to edit your collection on a small screen like that or just browse it?

Hi, if it would be any help, I can provide source code for Pocket AMC Reader for Windows Mobile, which is written in C# and uses .NET. Basically I take XML generated by Ant Movie Catalog, parse it and store in a database. Then I use simple selects to populate forms. Elman
