How to use Designer to create a report by [Director]

I have designed a report that works that consists of a page header band with just a master data band that has [Number] [OriginalTitle] and [Category]. This report has 3 columns. Now I want to create a new report that lists films by director. So I tried to use a group header band with [Director] in front of the master data band. This does not work. Help?

On the window where you choose your printing template (not the Designer window) there is an option 'Sort by' on the lower left corner. Click 'Advanced sort options' and then on 'Advanced' button. This will open a window where you can choose which fields to include in sort, so that you can sort the list by director or whatever field you like.

It's not possible from the Designer, I guess.

I am not sure that the group work actually... I do not remember

(some of the functions do not work, it is a general printing tool, I use just some of its features)
