Changing the names of the pictures at once

Post by Nolle »

Hello,

I had to change the name of my catalog to be able to view it in a template, but the images have still the same name as before...

Now, when I add movies in my list, the name of the pictures are different.

Before my catalog called Films and the names of my pictures begun with Films_....
Now my catalog is called movies and the names of my pictures begin with movies_...

Problem is that there are pictures called Films_... and pictures called movies_... :hum:

I already tried to change the previous pictures by running the script again, but the picture dissapeared and I can't get picture back :badidea:

So, is there a way to change the names of the pictures called Films_... in movies_... without crashing AMC ?

Thx,

Create a new temporary folder and do an export of your AMC database to CSV. You actually do not need the CSV file and no fields have to be exported. Do an "export" and your pictures will be copied using the name settings of AMC.

But after having exported all pictures, you have to use the amcimgimport tool from the download page of AMC site to re-link the pictures.
The other solution is to save to XML (if current catalog is .amc) and then rename files & do a search-replace in the XML file.
