uhmm.. well, maybe my question was not very clear, or automatic translators tell nonsense or you did get me wrong ;)

Which script(s) do you use to export your mvc catalog to CSV and/or XML ? Please link to this script..
In which folder are movie pictures stored ? I guess it is always ..\Affiches\ , is it?

You probably used a script from mvc forum, but as this is french too, it's hard for me to understand and find it. I ask because it seems quite easy to change these scripts and add the pictures to mvc export - eventually even a direct export to AMC XML format is possible.

Maybe Antoine could help out with a short translation ? ;)

I probably will release a script tomorrow night that exports MVC database directly to AMC XML database file including cover pictures (if not tomorrow then friday).

Sure :D

That program uses a Windev Hyperfile Database format with lots of indexed .fic files instead of a single file, so it was impossible to access movie information directly from the database. Inside the program I did not find any useful export functionality - you could export to Excel, Word and XML, but ONLY the list with movie titles, no details at all. Maybe I just didn't find it, but I still don't think so. By default there seems not to be a HTML export even.. (or is it missing on the "20 movies testversion" only?)

Visiting their forum, I had the feeling they don't really like to release or at least to document these things (what could be added through scripts) - and that's quite poor for a program that costs 29/38 Euro. But maybe I'm doing them wrong and I've overseen all this (as I said it's all french - and I don't trust Google translator).. ;)

Here is a script for MyVideoSoft that exports the database to AMC's XML file format.

Simply copy the script into mvs scripts folder and run it once. Now you will have a file "AMC_export.xml" in your mvs folder. Copy this file and all your movie pictures together into your \Ant Movie Catalog\Catalog\ folder (or where you want it). Open the XML file on AMC. Enjoy.. if it works ;)

MVS 2 AMC Export Script , Version 0.9 (new version available, see below)

Please let me know if it works for you or if something is missing (as I do not have a big database on mvs, I cannot test it in detail) !

Ou envoie le fichier XML plutôt à moi, ça sera plus facile comme je parle français et que tu as mon adresse :D
(= Or rather send to me the XML file, it will be easier as I speak French and you have my address)

Hélas, il n'y a pas de script pour l'export Excel, çà fait partie intégrante de MVS.

It seems to be caused by " " (quotation marks) only, that are used on description fields and get mixed up with the XML structure.

I'll fix that and the import of (Néant) if there is nothing on the field.

Here is a new version 0.9.5 of MVS 2 AMC Export Script . I fixed the quotation marks import and the import of (Néant) if there are no names on actors, director, etc.

Please test again. If there is still a problem I will need the new XML file ;)

I hope I found all the problems now :D

MVS 2 AMC Export Script , version 0.9.8 (new version see below)

I fixed the quotation marks (") from description and comments import, but you had these special character even on translated titles and other fields - so the import still failed on last script version.

Hint: If you want to assign a field to another field on AMC, you can use "Import from AMC" instead of just opening the XML database file.
