Like to link to added in for Media Player

Post by rhonie »

I have a couple of Mediagate MG-35 media players. I would be great if you could write a script to add an info tag to the movie menu that would link back to the Ant database. http://www.mediagateusa.com/forum/index.php

What kind of script? Maybe you should give a little more information as I am not sure that this Mediagate thing is so widely known.

Okay, A Mediagate is a Media Player. It is a network hard drive, similar to Apple TV, that connects directly to your television so you can either play movies from the internal hard drive of the media player or from your computer network. Now there are many of different brands in existence at different and all price ranges, but most of them do not include a link or a way to add a database for movie information. Now these players (network hard drive type) have upgradable firmware. To me it would be an easy upgrade for these companies to add a link from the movie menu page, or even "Ant Movie Catalog" to do so. I am sure that most users of the media players may be willing to even pay a small amount to add it to an upgrade that would do this. The firmware is open source. I am adding a link to the 2 of the major brands that I am aware of:

I moved the topic the Ant Movie Catalog section (initially posted in Ant Renamer section...)

I already do not have time to work on AMC which I know well and you want me to work on a firmware that I do not know at all and for which I do not have any hardware to make tests? :D
Sorry but I do not really see how I could do that or even help, except if someone needs info about AMC's database format (though that it is more or less described in the help file and that source of that is provided too).
