Media Label On dvd Case Insert Spine

Post by buffyiscool »

Hi

I have a problem when trying to add the media label (used for grouping files) to the spine of the case insert. It appears that if I have more than one file on the disc the media label is repeated multiple times on the spine. I would like to know how to add the media label once only on the spine. Can this be done using scripts and if so could someone post the required code to do this. Also, how can I rotate the media label on the spine through 90 degrees so that it reads down the spine.

Thanks in advance for any help offered.

Regards
Colin

Hi,
I am not sure to understand what you want exactly... can you make a small drawing?

Hi antp

here is the link to a screenshot showing the media label problem. You will see there are 4 instances of the media label on the spine of the insert. I only need the media label to be displayed once on the spine and if possible roitated 90 degrees.

There is a drop-down list in the designer toolbar to rotate text blocks (180° do not work, but 90 & 270 do).
About displaying the label only once, it is maybe possible using script, though that I am not sure at all it would work. I'll try that later except if you or someone else do it first.

Hi Antp

Thanks for your help. I managed to get the label rotated and have found a quick fix to the repetition problem by making the media label field as small as possible to prevent it repeating. This will work for some labels but may not work for labels containing more text. If you could look into trying a script to do this (when you get time) I'd really appreciate it.

Regards and thanks again
