resize or hide the description/comments windows

Post by LucMa »

Hi:)

Is possible have the option for resize or hide some (not all) windows information in AMC? For example, for me isn't important read the Comments or video format/audio format ect ect.

I request it becouse i love see the image in big dimension but i haven't space for show the image as it appeals to to me

Another idea for have some space is put the name of the windows over and not on the left. For example

NOT

Description : sdfsdgdfgdfgdfgdggdfgdgdgdfg

BUT

Description:
fdhgdfgdfgfdgdsfgdsfgdfgdsg

many thank's:)

Hi,
It is not very easy to let the user customize the window.
In a future version I may use something HTML-based to allow anybody to customize the field style.

Hi antp,

I have seen this question a couple of times now and you gave the answer this would be difficult to create.

I was just wondering why this is?
Isn't it possible to set the LEFT, TOP height and length the same as you set the description of the field, by the language file?
As far as I know setting these values in runtime should be possible.

I can imagine this would slow down the interface so what about the following solution?
Check if a specified layout-file is pressent. If not, then load and show the screen as desinged. If it is present load, but hide the form, then rearrange the fields and make it visible. Should take a fraction of a second I guess and only for those who chose a personal layout.

I would sign for this solution if that means my personal layout.

BTW thanks for the great work, the best program so far.

Indeed I could disable the automatic resizing if the layout is modified, but then what should happen if you resize the window?

In my opinion the advantage of being flexible with the fields means some trade-in in flexability of the form size.

For me personally, I don't mind having to live with a minimal window size(could also be a setting in the settings-file). In AMC I never use resizing the window (at least the frame with the data fields) except maybe for the frame with the listview.

In my programming days at occasion I determined the minimal size of the form (or frame for that matter) and did not allow resizing smaller than the minimal values.

If you do not resize the window, what's the problem with the current solutions used by many "mod" language files who already move and resize fields?
