Move images from amc to folder

Currently, all the images are stored inside the .amc catalog file.
I want to move all of them outside of the file, and store them somewhere else, obviously maintaining their link to the movie titles.

Is it possible?

When adding pictures you can chose to store pictures externally (same for pictures importer by script; you can define that in the preferences).
For existing movies, a solution is to save the catalog to XML (File -> Save As, then change the file format in the drop-down list). All pictures will be put in the same folder as the catalog (so for that it is maybe better to put the catalog alone in a new folder) and relative links to the pictures will be made.
Later you can save back to AMC format, or continue to use the XML.

When using external files for images, which names are the movie number: can I update the file name when I change the movie number value?

The name is not updated I think.
There is an option to use the movie title as file name, I think.
