DVDempire.com broken?

Post by zivija »

Hello!
Last few days, when I try to find information about movies with DVDempire script, I get message "no movie found", or if it find something in picture field I only got Dark Shadows picture (doesn't matter which movie I want to find, I trien "Hidalgo", "Family Man".....)
I am using the latest updated version of AMC.
If anybody have idea how I can solve this, write here
Thanx!!!

I would like a fix with dvdempire.com as well. I did notice that in the URL is a UserID, but in the Ant script, there is no variable for UserID. I wonder if that is the problem.

I've tried to play with the script, but my knowledge of script writing at this time is very limited. Could someone, who understands the script, add the UserID variable? I don't mind trying it out to verify if that is the problem or not.

Thanks in advance.

Hope this was helpful.

I think they changed something past few days - now is default to search for titles, not for keywords.
I hope this is helpful to fix this script....

Fixed Script (Beta)

Post by GameGod »

Hi,

I've updated the script to work with the new site changes. Antoine has uploaded it here:
http://www.antp.be/temp/scripts/dvdempire.ifs

If you use the script, I would appreciate it if you let me know (on this thread) how it works for you.

Thanks.

THANK YOU for your efforts! I really appreciate your time. I tried the new script, and yet, I get this error message. Do you have any idea what this means?

Which version of AMC are you using? Also what's the exact name of the movie that you're searching for? If I can replicate the error, I can fix it.

It looks like an old version, in the current version (3.5) there is no "result" tab in the toolbar, as results are displayed in a separated version.
So, westlaw, I suggest that you try with the latest version of AMC ;) (make a backup of your catalog and your current AMC folder in the case of...)

:grinking: Youz Da Man!

Thank You, one and all (Gamegod).

Your recommendations resolved my issues. Once I upgraded to the most current version, everything worked like a charm.

I'm back in action!

With over 2800 DVDs in my personal collection, imputing the DVD information manually was getting to be a real pain in the azz.

A round of Wicked Ale for the entire house -- on me!

I've updated the script so it now makes sure the AMC version is compatible with the script. Antoine has uploaded the updated script, so this problem should not happen again.

Cheers! :)

I haven't been here the last little while, so I was very excited to find that the script for dvdempire had been fixe...tried it and was even more excited to find out it appears to work again.

Thankyou very much in your time and effort to fix this script.
