Hi:)
I want upgrade my amc but don't like re-personalize the setting. There is a way for backup the setting and after restore it?
Many thank's:)
backup setting?
Hi,
Most of the settings are in "prefs.xml"
There is also script-specific options in "scripts.ini"
Some options of the Report Designer in "AMCReport.ini"
And the list of codec names in "Codecs.ini" (in the case you modified it)
You may also want to keep "Loans history.csv"
Another solution is to backup the whole program folder

You can install the new version over the old one, but it is always a good idea to make a backup in the case there is a problem.
About all settings in one file, not really: codec information is not really preferences. Scripts settings is a little big to be put with preferences (and not managed the same way), and loan history is also something different.

It is better to overwrite both exe (moviecatalog & amcreport), the few DLL, and the whole language & scripts folders.
Since preferences are not stored in the zip (rar actually) version you can overwrite all files.
Except if you modified some of the templates, but well that's difficult to handle all cases
