comments field

while i do read other user comments on movies at imdb.com I would prefer not to download those comments and rather use that space for "review" since I write my own movie reviews.

Now it would be grand if there was some way of formatting text in that field, e.g. like with the various wysiwyg editors out there, delphi has a rich text blob edit field component doesn't it? Or maybe link to a pdf (review file).

(there's a free one for html pages, works in ie5+ only unfortunately: http://www.interactivetools.com/products/htmlarea/ but this is sort of what I am looking for)

I won't add such editing features.
In future versions it will be possible to link to files, but I think that's all.

how about allowing html tags in the text field (like <b> or <i> etc.), which then would be parsed when exporting to html?

You can put these in the fields, there is nothing to parse since the fields text is directly output to the html file.
