Playing AMC files

I have several files that I have downloaded and they have AMC file extensions. The files appear to be WMP files however WMP will play the video side but has no sound. the same with DivX 2 player. And a properties inquiry says they are encoded with DivX codec compression.
Any help would be appreciated

if it is divx/wma for the audio you can try the following codec :
ftp://ftp2.antp.be/antp/temp/DivXAudioCodecs.exe
