imdb script(v2.04) doesn't import producer

Post by dante »

Hallo to the forum,
I just recently "discovered" this programm, and I was absolutely AMAZED. It's just what I was looking for. Anyway, let's get to the point. I downloaded the latest version that was in the official site (v3.5.0.2). I use the imdb script (v2.04) that came with the application. It's all great, but it doesn't import the producer. The producer field is empty. I imported 15 movies, and only in Resident Evil I got a producer. Here are some other movies I tried:

Thir13en Ghosts
Blood In Blood Out
Shakespeare in Love
The Goonies
Back to the Future Part II
Unbreakable
The Others
The Last of the Mohicans
Stigmata
Resident Evil
Star Wars: Episode V - The Empire Strikes Back
Star Wars: Episode VI - Return of the Jedi
The Godfather
The Godfather Part II
The Godfather Part III

I checked the script options in modified fields, and the producer is checked. Am I doing something wrong?? If the imdb script can't import producer, which script would you suggest for that?

The producer is available from the main info page of these movies on IMDB? If yes, I'll correct the script to get the info correctly.

hmmm.. In the "main details" page, the director is quite clear. Right under "Directed By" there is "Writing Credits", where are a couple of names. I don't think they are the producers. In "combined details" though, there are many producers (executive producers, line producers, and so on). I don't thing many people need to know about ALL the producers, but some "highlights". For example, I would like to see George Lucas as the producer in Star Wars. I don't know how easy that is, now that I think about it, it sounds kinda hard :|

Maybe you could save me a lot of trouble (you personally or anyone else that sees this topic) by suggesting to me another script which is good just for importing the producer.. I'd really appreciate it..
