High memory usage!!!

Post by Bane »

Hello! I found this "bug". When I started AMC and load catalog (about 1500 movies), AMC takes about 109 MB of system memory. I found this on two machines. In older versions I think it was 8 or 9 MB. I have version 3.5.0.1. Is this normal or....?
Thanx!!!

Hi,
Depends of the size of the catalog. If your catalog is nearly 100 MB it is "normal". I plan to correct that in a near future, but until then the only solution is to keep images as external files to keep the catalog size small.
It should not have change much since previous versions (3.3/3.4)

Yes, catalog is about 90MB.....
In older version catalog was smaller, so that's the point :)
Thanx!!!
And, one more thing, In 3.43 when I want to select language for movie, I was tupe "E" and it shows "English", now when I type "E" it shows only "E". It is not big deal but getting "English" with one letter was useful. Maybe You can back it in next version?

Except if by older version you mean a version 1.x or 2.x, previous versions were also loading the whole catalog into memory.

In Tools -> Prefs -> Drop-down lists, enable the "auto-complete" option for the lists that you want

Thanx!!!
I missed it somehow into preferences....
About catalog, I mean my catalog was smaller (I have less movies) so because of this the memory usage was smaller (versions 3.43 and 3.43).
