2.12 vs 2.12.0

I notice the install file has gained a ".0" and is about 20kb larger than the 2015-07-04 version. Is there actually any difference - I don't see any reference to 2.12.0 in the history section?

It would help if laroche7917 incuded the whole window in the screenshot, and made sure the "Preview of selected file" is checked. This allows you to preview the result of the action and compare with the original file. Traduction Gooogle: Il serait utile que laroche7917 incuded l'ensemble d...

Thank you Nathalie for highlighting http://www.pcastuces.com/logitheque/ant_renamer.htm . It contains a nice tutorial for Ant Renamer , only in French but https://translate.google.com/ will translate it to another language. Although I'm an Ant Renamer 'power user' I learned something from the tutori...

;) I could maybe change the message to "Nothing to do for this file". That's true from the software point of view but doesn't give the user much of a clue about what s/he did wrong. Or something like you suggest, which must then depends on the selected action (as it is already the case fo...

Thank you, you are absolutely correct!! The file names must have been generated in Word or something with 'proper' left and right printers quotes. I just typed (") into renamer so of course it could not find them. Cut'n'paste from the explorer listing into renamer now works fine. Maybe a more s...

Replacing " (double-quote) character

I have some files containing the double-quote character, e.g. Filename: On “Lord Warden” ferry.jpg I want to change this to single-quote, as Filename: On 'Lord Warden' ferry.jpg Renamer log tells me "Not renamed - new name same as old name". I tried escaping the double quote char with \&qu...

You can download ant components here : http://update.antp.be/comps/antcomponents.zip

Soulsnake.
Thanks Soulsnake, that worked. Seems the link on this page http://www.antp.be/software/renamer/sources needs updating.

But trying to download the source I encounteres http://update.antp.be/renamer/antcomponents.zip >> "404 - Not Found" ;) Going to Sourceforge would ensure the source remains available, even if something happens to your own site, and maybe it would give Ant Renamer more visibility to encoura...

Oh... The source is already here on the site, sorry I did not look well enough. It would be really cool if someone would take it further like the Ant Movie Catalog.

Thanks for your reply.

New Version?

Ant Renamer is a great program and I use it a lot for a long time -- even just contributed 15 euros to its development!! Thankyou so much Ant. I urge all users to give Ant some financial encouragement. But I am concerned about its future since more than 4 years have passed since last release. Ant cl...
