Sorry but the website allrovi.com used to search a movie seem to be unavailable.
The script should be modified to use the search results of allmovie.com if the website allrovi.com is dead definitly.

The original script was made by Sascha Biesgen

The authors mentioned in the AMG script information are Hubert Kosior, KaraGarga, Chetan Rao, and Donna Huffman. May be one of them can help if they are still active in the AMC community.

I heard the distress signal and I've worked for you guys.
I spent time on this script ... but I already handles a lot of scripts, so I don't have much time to spend on a new script to fix.
If there are further corrections to do, you'll have to be patient.

The All Movie Guide (pic) script in 0.7.0 version is available on antp's server.
You can find this update here : http://update.antp.be/amc/scripts/
Or You can use the [UPDATE_SCRIPTS] script to ... update your scripts !!

- [Mod] To avoid, search results problem, the "MaxResults" option is set by default to 5000
- [New] Adding of a "Picture" option with 2 choices :

• 0 -> Big (Default setting)
  1 -> Small

(You can now choose if you want to get a small or big picture. The setting default is the big picture)

Raoul, thank you very much: the script is up and running once again! However, there is one consistent problem: very often I get the message "Sorry, there are too many possible matches, please adjust your search and retry". I hope fixing that doesn't consume much of your time.

Hi Lemaireus,

As I mentioned in my previous message, I increased the value of MaxResults option to avoid the problem you describe.
Check that the MaxResults option is set to at least 5000 (usually the default setting).
If it still doesn't work, try to set the option at 8000.
If it still doesn't work, give me some movie titles where you have this problem.

Raoul, you're right, of course. I suppose the problem was that the default selection of maximum results is set to 100 in the script, and I hadn't noticed that. I changed that to 5000 and the error message has disappeared

Everything working perfectly for me with this script, thanks again Raoul.

Raoul, I noticed an issue with the AMG script v0.7.0: there is a problem in importing the "synopsis" ('Overview' tab on AMG website) as well as the "review" ('Review' tab on AMG) fields.

In the "synopsis" field the script imports only the first paragraph and, in the "review" field only the first paragraph or the first 5-6 lines. This is the case with all the long synopses (tested with the plot description for "As Good As It Gets") and long reviews (tested with the titles "Zodiac," "Zombieland," and "American Gangster").

Hoping that it wouldn't take you long to fix these errors. Thanks!

I just tested the script on a few films. So there may be other errors such as these ... You are beta testers ...

I use a fonction who appears in the version 7 of the Stringutils1.pas file. I have program the script to detect if you have the correct version or not. If it's not the case, the script will propose to you to download the last version. But you can do it manually.

Thanks for the update: everything is working perfectly thus far for me in the updated AMG script.

I tried deleting my thread on this issue < viewtopic.php?t=5662 > to avoid duplication, but wasn't able to. Perhaps Antoine can remove that thread. In any case, I have deleted my post with the link to v0.7.0.
