				damaged .amc file

				hi to all. i've filled a big file with all my favourites films and etc. but after my OS win falling  

 this file is damaged. i've looked throw it using totalcomander viewer (f3 

 ) and the damaged sector is currently in the start of my .amc. can any one help my to remove this sector? i've tried to do it by myself, but both viewer and catalog couldn't read the file after my correction :-). thx to all for replies

				Do you have a .bak file? If so you can rename the .bak file to something else with a .amc extension and try to open it.
Else the solution if the start of the .amc file is corrupted is to make a new empty catalog (or with just one movie) and append to it the remaining part of the other catalog. It is not so easy but I already did it few times.

I have had the same problem of Dimitry After reinstall Wind. Vista after a crash Antmovie can't read a fille of all my video and one more with TV Series. Other two files OK?? The program tell me: DVD EDOARDO.amc = Cannot identify file typt from header"? Backup files also corrupted. Please HELP!!!!! Best wishes. Edoardo

				Just a reminder to back up all your files/lists from AMC (Ant Movie Catalog) to otherplaces. I use other drives on same machine, on other computers as well as memory sticks. USB Memory sticks are very cheap nowadays, and this will help if something happens to your drive.
