Antp, any ideas why the problem stays even after I changed everything to French?

It is not sure that IMDb didn't change anything though. One thing to try if you can easily change the user agent in your browser is to check if it still displays the accents correctly when requesting a page with AMC's user agent,
Mozilla/5.0 (compatible; Ant Movie Catalog)

AMC displays the special characters just fine from the previous (before update) entries. My Location is Moscow, Russia. When I clicked on your link, the browser showed me all the special characters. And it was all OK before the update with the same system.

But it does not import special characters and accents any more? That is I'm getting Lasse Hallstr o m instead of Lasse Hallstr ö m

ConvertToASCII is set to 0.
