Rating system suggestion

Hi,
could you possibly change the rating system for html export?

When I edit the .amc file I can give up to 10 points to rate a movie,
but exportet to html I see only up to 4 stars.
Wouldn't it make more sense to have up to 5 stars (including half stars as well) for the html, like they've done it at Amazon? That way there would be a half star for 1 point, a full star for 2 points, one and a half star for 3 points, and so on.

Maybe you could take this suggestion in consideration for following versions of this really great software?

Cheers,

The stars in the export is actually for compatibility with version 1.x rating.
I used a 4-star rating because that's what was used on www.allocine.fr
If you want to make a 5 star rating in html export you can do it easily :
Make 11 pictures, from rating0.gif to rating10.gif for example.
Then in the export template put somewhere :
<img src="rating$$ITEM_RATING.gif">
If you only want 5 stars but no half-stars, make for example rating0, 1 and 2 identical (0 star), rating 3 and 4 identical (1 star), etc...

Thank you very much - it works great!!!!
Now I just need a script to gather movie data from www.ofdb.de,
and your Software can't be beaten :)
I'm sure if someone could manage to write a script for OFDB, thousands of users would download Ant Movie Catalog.

Anyway - Great software, and thanks again for your help!

@antp

Again thanks for the hint!
My html rating corrosponds now to the rating system in my amc file :D

After I got this great software for free, plus the great and kind information in this forum, I felt that I have to contribute something to ANT MOVIE CATALOG.
So I launched a webpage with the rating system information you gave me, and my rating images.
You can find the page at:
http://www.digitalgutter.com/rating/stars.html

Just in case that you don't like that the site is up, or that you want me to change something, please let me know antp!

I'm glad to hear that you think it was okay to launch the webpage.
Would be great if you could include the stars and the template in your program.

I spent this evening to read postings in this forum, when something came to my mind:
All those people (I'm no exception) asking you to do something for them (changing the program or a script). Why do you never ask for something? You made this great software, and you give it away for free. I'm sure you could possibly also need some help with some things, so don't be shy - ask for support!

I don't know if I'm able to do something that could be a help for you, but if I can I'll do it immediately (but don't ask me for a lot of money :D ).

I should put a "donation" page :D
If somebody knows Pascal and/or C++ he can help me to get audio/video bitrate from avi, and all information from other types of files ;)

I guess that's something where I can't help you out.

By the way, I have a couple of ant images, taken with an electron microscope. Do you think they could be useful for you?
You can see an example on my website
