I have just sent my\self an .amc vedio file sent by my mobile phone (I am in Japan). I have downloaded the amc software but the header of the e-mail is the response I get when I try to open the e-mail.
Any suggestions

Thanks for getting back to me so quickly. It's a movie file made by my 3G Japanese mobile phone. Amazingly, I just discovered the answer to my problem by accident. The new version (6.5) of Quicktime has support for .amc files. Would it be ok if I post the information/ a link to quicktime here?

You can post links and info, no problem, but I do not really see what you mean...
The .amc file of Ant Movie Catalog contain movie information, but not video/audio like .avi .mpeg and others
You mean that Quicktime creates media files that have a .amc extension ?
.amc movie

Hi there
No, Quicktime didn't make my file. As I said, it was created by my mobile phone. I guess Quicktime can make them though.
I searched the internet for movie players which support the .amc file extension. The phone actually stores the movie in a file with this extension. The Ant software turned up in my search but now I know (thanks to your reply) that it is for cataloging movie information and not storing movies. Thanks. The original post is exactly the same as my problem. It can be solved by getting the new Quicktime from here:
http://www.apple.com/quicktime/download/
I think a lot of people in my situation will try using the Ant software so I hope they read this first.
Thanks again
Kevin
