Would like to see Cut and Paste capability

I love the Import capability, however, I would also like to be able to Cut and Paste additional information into some of these fields. I can type in the data but it becomes tedious if the information is greater than ten or more words or just updating a series of TV titles showing this is part of a mini series. Thank you for your time.

What do you mean by "cut and paste capability"?
There is already a copy/past function to copy and paste all fields of a movie, if you need something more advanced/specific you'll have to give more details about what you expect ;)

I realize that there is a cut and paste available but it is not working for me with any field on any screen. I am using the latest and greatest version of AMC and am running on Windows 8.1

Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thank you.

Can you provide an example? For e.g. "I tried copying the text in 'Description' field and tried pasting that in the 'Comments' field, or a text or MS Word file and the pasting did not work". Or "I copied text from IMDb user reviews but pasting that in the 'Comments' field did not work."

I am asking for an example because I checked my AMC and copy-paste is working perfectly well for every field on my computer: AMC v4.2.0.2/Windows 7.

Example: I open AMC sample catalog "Sample 3.5.1.amc". I highlight the first entry on the 'Original Title:" line ("Matrix, The"). Press Ctrl+C (Copy) to copy the data. Move down to the "Comments:" box and press Ctrl+V (Paste) to paste the data. Nothing happens. I tried Shift+Ctrl+V. Still nothing.
I check the file attributes for the AMC files and they are set to A (Archive).

It must be some local issue on your machine because I just followed through the steps you've mentioned: I selected a title (Ctrl+A), copied it (Ctrl+C), then pasted it (Ctrl+V) into "Comments" section and it's worked perfectly fine.

Shift+Ctrl+C and Shift+Ctrl+V copies all the data for a title into a new entry (Alt+Insert; in the File menu: Movie>Add) and that is also working fine with me.

In my AMC file properties (Windows 7): in 'Attributes' 'Read only' and 'Hidden' are unchecked. In the 'Advanced' tab 'File is ready for archiving' and 'Allow this file to have contents indexed' are checked, while 'Compress contents' and 'Encrypt contents' are unchecked.

This must be some sort of Windows 8.1 UAC problem. I will research on my end. Thank you for your time and patience.

I updated my UAC settings to the second level from the top and things are now working the way they should.

On which level was it before?
It seems that second one is the default one (it is set on my Windows 8.1, and I don't think I ever changed it)
