media input - source folder/s GUI

Sorry to bring this up again but for my setup seems to be quite important.
Can we please have a folder selection interface rather than a input field when doing media import?
e.g.:
This is crucial to do a granular selection and not take for granted that e.g. the VIDEO directory contains videos only. Or even if it does there might be some you don't want to include in your database.
