problems after thumbnails instead of the plain text list

If I choose large thumbnails instead of the plain text list and I want to search for example actors in the search bar then after used the program several times the search function doesn't work anymore.
I must then re-install the program but if i choose again for thumbnails the problems for searching came back after several days.
But by plain text these problems do not arise and the search function always works. Maybe working with a large collection in thumbnailview its becomes not stable.
