Since in source we have the full path of the media file, can we have a simple button to open the media file directly from AMC?
Thanks!

Hi,
You can add this button in Preferences > Customize Toolbar > URL or use CTRL+M / CTRL+SHIFT+M to open file / open folder where file is located.
But full path have to be in field URL for this.
I know this is not convenient for all that why I will add a new field "File location" in next major version of AMC 4.2.0.

If you do so please consider all the users that have the full media path into "Source" right now. That means all the custom scripts also point to Source.
Any ways glad to hear that there's plan for future development.
My personal wish list in filesystem operation is "open dir" & "remove dir"
Thanks!
P.S. The CTRL+SHIFT+M does open the windows file explorer but it opens my windows user directory, not the directory where the media of the AMC record I'm in points to.

Don't worry. It will be easy to move (or just copy) all values from field source into new field filePath expected for this, using script UpdateFields.
In the same way, it will be easy and fast to modify scripts to use this new field instead of field source/url if you use AMC 4.2.0

.

You must have your file path in field url to use this shortcut, otherwise this will not work.

You can easily do it with AMC Viewer .
