Finding myself using the IMDB script over and over again...I'm wondering if there is a possibility to skip a few steps...

Now I need to:
1. create a new record
2. F6 to open the script window
3. F9 to run the script
4. Type the name
5. Select the correct movie
6. press Save
7. Alter the location of the movie

Repeat

Is there a way to merge steps 1, 2 and 3?

What you can do is:

On menu >tools >preferences >movie information select 'open get information from script window', turn off 'ask for number' if it isn't yet

On menu >tools >preferences >scripting turn on option 'Auto-run last script with Get information from script', so it will automatically use IMDB again

Now Alt+Ins will add a new movie record, open scripting window and start IMDB script, so you successfully merged step 1, 2 and 3

You might still want to check IMDB script options frame on scripting window, e.g. 'BatchMode' can be used to enter movie title if you already have information on your database and 'DescriptionSelection' gives another options to automate tasks too.

Finally you can turn on options 'Show results window' and 'Close this window at end' for running scripts, those Execution Options are found above the script options frame.
