I'm using Firefox 13 (maybe unlucky for me!!) and since that change from Firefox 12, I find that when the IMBd script shows a list of matching titles and I select one of them and click "View web page" - it doesn't open web page at all. There is no apparent browser activity when I do that click and my browser continues to work normally.

I guess the View web page function is common to all scripts and so maybe this is a Firefox 13 specific problem?

As a workaround, of course, I can go directly to IMDb and find the page(s) I want, but it would be nice to have this feature working normally again.

It seems to work for me in FF13. What AMC does is just asking Windows to run a command containing the URL, so it should open in the default browser.
If you copy-paste the URL to the "Run" window (key Win+R), does it work?
