I have a large database of films in AMC already and many of the titles of the films start with the words "the", "a" and "an". Is there a batch process that I could use to remove the words "the" and "a" from the beginning of the titles to make it possible for the list of films to be ordered in a more meaningful order alphabetically?

e.g. At the moment titles display as...

The Abominable Snowman of the Himalayas (1957)
A Christmas Carol (2009)
The 39 Steps (1935)
An American In Paris (1951)

I'd like an easy way to batch re-name so that they would display as...

Abominable Snowman of the Himalayas (1957)
Christmas Carol (2009)
39 Steps (1935)
American In Paris (1951)

I have dates appended to titles and in an ideal world would like to keep the dates and move the words "the", "a" and "an" from the start of the title to the end so that they would display as ...

Abominable Snowman of the Himalayas, The (1957)
Christmas Carol, A (2009)
39 Steps, The (1935)
American In Paris, An (1951)

...but I realise that this might be asking too much. Just deleting would suffice.

If there is not a way to do this then does anyone know how I might get around the problem happening in the future. I've looked for an option in AMC itself but can't find one.

go to preferences -->movielist --> title formatting

Thanks so much for replying... especially as I now see that it was a stupid question (ie I should have looked more carefully at the preferences).
