I've never had as many problems as with the current Version of AMC.

For example using the IMDB script for info on http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1820723/ Treasure Island for TV I get Err. 404 using every script I've used before all I get is errors left and right.

Does any know any english Script that definitely works with Win 7

Thanks

Just wanted to update this post in particular to say the problem has been solved and the solution is further down the thread - THANKS

Well, like posted in this thread, IMDB works for me, even with your example, while others have problems. That makes it hard to track down the reason, maybe a problem with different localized page versions.

Please write down (or make a screenshot) of your script settings from scripting window, so that I can verify it's not only with a specific setting (I just cannot test more than about 22^2 possible settings). ;)

Please excuse the delay in getting back to you especially after having asked for help.

If you please, let's concentrate on one move and one script, that way I won't get mixed-up.

I'm going to use one specific film Extremely Loud & Incredibly Close http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0477302/

I'm using the IMDB script V3.6 and very little info is actually imported - no pic, no summary, etc.

At some point there is an 404 error at two points in the script. I don't know how to tell you which lines it stops at.

Let me know if you need more info and how to provide you the script settings or which part of the screen you want me to "print"

Thanks

Hi and thanks. Don't be sorry for your English my German is worse - lol

I'm in Canada so my IP would be Canadian, if that's what you mean.

But, I checked your link and it took me to the English version Title.

Hi,

from your screenshot I see you don't use latest script version 3.73. See frame below the list of scripts, it shows a version 3.60 I think ? You need to update to latest script version and test again before we can see if there's still a problem.

You can run script [Update Scripts] to do that automatically or download latest script from http://update.antp.be/amc/scripts/ and save to scripts folder manually, but if you download manually and it still shows old script version, you might need to delete old scripts from Window's Virtual Store folder.

THANK YOU bad4u it worked great.

I need to find out how to replace the existing scripts as it is not doing it automatically (that's why I was using the WRONG version of the script) and, also, how can I rename the script name - that is how it will appear in the script name.

Thanks again - I really appreciate your help. :)

The name of the script is in the properties, available from the Editor page of the script window.

Good to hear it worked for you.

About updating automatically via script [Update Scripts], did you eventually edit or just (re)save IMDB script ? If so, the file gets a new timestamp and so update script would not be able to see it's outdated until next script update on server.

In this case set script option 'autodetect_new_scripts' for update script to '0' and choose the script you want to update from the list (it lists all scripts then and won't try to decide which need an update).

Thanks again for your time.

I didn't touch the script itself - I usually updated using the "update script" itself. My script is currently up-to-date so I'm not touching anything.

Although, I have deleted scripts which I don't need nor will I use - is there a way to keep these from coming back?

Are you suggesting I change the 1 to a 0 in the update scripts options so that they're not re-downloaded?

Sorry if I'm confused and confusing you.

Thanks

When you open scripting window and choose update script, you should have a frame 'script options' on the right side of your window.

There's an option 'autodetect_new_scripts' that is set to 1 by default, I think, which means the script will detect which scripts need to be updated, then only lists these selection.

When setting to '2' it means that the script downloads ALL new and ALL updated scripts automatically, maybe that's your problem if all scripts show up again after deleting some.

Setting to '0' means update script lists all scripts available on server and does not try to detect which have updates available, so the user can choose which to download from server.

Try setting this option to '1' or '0' if it is set to '2' now.
