I don't know that specific error message, and I'm not really sure what you try to do:

What do you mean by "open my folder" ? Choose the folder (on your harddisk) when you want to open a catalog ? Or are you talking about opening the catalog itself ? Are you using *.xml or *.amc catalog format ? Waiting 5 minutes for opening the catalog or the folder ?

What you could try if you are talking about the catalog file:

1. Before you try anything - backup your catalog files to some other drive/folder, just in case something goes wrong. Not only backup the *.amc catalog, but the *.bak file too.

2. Now you could rename the *.bak file to *.amc or *.xml, depending on the catalog format you use for your movies. It's a backup file, and if your catalog file should be corrupted, this one might still work fine.

3. Doesn't work ? Download and install a new version of AMC, maybe your executable got corrupted somehow. Try opening the catalog again.

4. If the catalog itself got corrupted and the backup file has the corrupted version, too, it might be possible to open the catalog in a text editor like notepad++ to remove corrupted data and so restore some (or even most of) catalog data. xml format would be easier to work on. Eventually you could zip your catalog file send it or make available for download to me, so I can have a look on it to see if I can help (contact me via PM then).
