This is ridiculous! Just downloaded Ant Movie Catalog 3.5.1 after reading nothing but great reviews. Can't even find info on any movie from any script source (esp IMDB) without getting "HTTP/ 1.1 404 Not Found" or "S cript Error in "IMDB"; out of range at line 396". Found a tutorial but no luck. Even updated scripts, still no luck. Obviously thousands of people are using this wonderful program, so what the ...? It's me isn't it. No computer feng-shui. Hate to give up, any ideas?

Are you using Vista or Win7 ? Try installing AMC to another drive, e.g. D:, an USB stick or just to your documents folder. Maybe something goes wrong with UAC (User Account Control) and prevents AMC to correctly write updated script files. Then make sure you download latest updates for imdb.ifs script AND StringUtils1.pas unit, using [ Update Scripts ] script or if it still fails download script manually from http://update.antp.be/amc/scripts/ and save to your scripts folder (within the AMC folder where you installed). Once the problem is located, you should be able to install to another folder, if you prefer.

Well ok, that was it! Just had to reinstall. Seems to work fine with the few movies I tried so far. Thanks a bunch. PS: Any way to add or modify the fields? (ie, to include things like "Criterion Collection", or "martial arts" or "samurai"? Thanks again.

You mean change the name of some fields ? You cannot add new ones, but modify the meaning of existing ones. It could be done easily modifying the language file you use, e.g. see viewtopic.php?t=4121 (and a lot of other threads)

Or are you asking for some movie data that is (or is not) imported ?

Well, for example, if you want to pull up all movies that are Criterion or samurai or martial arts or all the above, can you further refine your search (in the AMC) for these categories/genres? Thanks again. S

You mean refining a search within AMC's search function, when you choose "Tools -> Find" from the menu ? No, it is not possible to refine this search if I remember correct.

If you mean within the movie search a script does on the internet (or better: on a specific website), it depends on the script and how it initializes website's search function. If the website supports searching specific categories, the script could be made to do that too or show only a filtered results list from website for specific categories, but it would need someone to implement that to a specific script then. Well, or you have to write your own modification. ;)
