You can use the URL field for that, if you don't need it for movie URL.

There's a drop-down button on the right side of the URL field. It shows two options :
1. "Open URL" will open the URL or the file stored on that field (this starts the file on your media player if it is connected with the file extension).
2. "Browse" lets you browse your harddisk to find and save the path to a movie file (or any other file that could be opened).

You can also double-click in the field

No you can't. Double click doesn't work.

... indeed, weird, this was working before. Are you using Vista? Maybe it is due to that, I never retested that after I moved from XP to Vista.

I'm using XP PRO. I just double checked----double clicking definitely doesn't open the file but thats OK I'll just use the OPEN URL from the drop down menu.
