Does using Ant Renamer on JPEG files delete date & time?

I just used Ant Renamer for the first time on a set of .JPEG picture files. I used the Enumeration feature to change the name of the files. It appears that the date and time info showing when the picture was taken/created was deleted once Ant Renamer renamed these .JPEG files.

Is this 'normal' when using Ant Renamer? If so, is there a way to prevent it from happening in the future?

When the date and time info showing when the picture was taken/created gets deleted it creates a problem when trying to geotag the renamed files to a GPS data file.

Any help or ideas are greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Files are not modified. Only thing that is changed is the name (using Windows' MoveFile function).
So if that info is lost, maybe it was not stored in the file itself but somewhere else, and linked to the file name?
