When I use the renamer to rename a group of files in a folder that contains a period the file name is duplicated even if that one was not to be renamed.
ie. n:\series\Banana (GB) [N] (2015) [eng]\.actors.actors
in this case it duplicated the .actors in the top folder and it was not directly part of the rename process.

This also happens when a file name has a peroid(s) in it.

Indeed, it is a known bug (the main and biggest bug of the program).
I'll try to fix it in a near future, but in the meantime it can be avoided by enabling the option to also apply the action to the extension.
