English Game Scripts

Hello,
I have searched high and low through the website looking for a good english game script that will cover SONY PSP.
Not found! :-(
It it possible to slightly amen say the AmazonPro script that will show all results of a title search instead of just the dvd listing.
Example:
Look for Alien vs Pretator
Results would be for DVD/Sony PSP/Book/Xbox.. and so on
Then I can choose whatever title I want
Or is there a proper game script that does cover Sony PSP as the "AllGame" does not cover.
Thanks,
AJW

Try Sisimizi Game Catalog. It's not been finished yet, but if you don't need statistics the preview works pretty well and an updated AmazonGames script based on AmazonPro script is included (PSP is supported, too). More scripts and templates will be adapted and added within the next weeks and if you have used AMC for cataloging your games, you can import your current catalog into SGC.

I have tried the default script in the 0.72 version amazongame.. loads of psp games missing and no import of the picture.. Is there any other scripts that may work better for sony psp bringing in picture and description.
Hope there is a solution.

Did you use the script on Sisimizi Game Catalog or tried it on Ant Movie Catalog ? It only works on Game Catalog. If so, check for script version (mark the script and see at the bottom of the window), it must be script version 0.8.0. This one works pretty good for me, I tested it again with a couple of PSP games and it imports picture, description, rating, platform, classification, reviews and many more. If a game seems to be missing, click "Find more" on the results listing, and you will get the next 10 results (Amazon's API delivers only 10 results at once). If it's still missing check if it's listed on Amazon or give me an example, please.

Yes, when I downloaded the new version 0.72 I assumed that it had up to date script... You are correct it is amazongames_070.ifs
Is there a link for the new script please.
Thanks again

I updated the .zip file yesterday in the evening and added the AmazonGames 0.8.0 script
before I answered to your posting. So you must have downloaded the file before this
Here's the script:
http://www.sisimizi.org/download/AmazonGames.zip
But that could be found on the game catalog thread, too..

Thank you again for the quick reply... Downloaded and working a treat.
With having the PSP and using chipped games, is there a section for putting in files sizes or a section that can be altered to accomodate.
Thanks again

There's no special field for that. You can use i.e. "Personal Notes" or "Comments" field, if you move customer reviews to the reviews field (the script has an option for that, it can be found on the right side of the scripting window when you mark the script on the list) - or any other field you don't need.
There will be language files available later, so it will be possible to change field names then if you prefer this.

OK, will use one of the not critical field for the files size...
As this is such a good program like the ANT will there be such a field which I am sure there will be a good few users who would definately use that field for such a use like me.
Thanks

Not on the first release version. When I started this project I asked for suggesting fields that should be included and there was not one suggestion at all. So I built this first version for my own needs
As I got some more ideas for future versions, I can put it on my ToDo list for a future version.

I have impoted all the games in and downloaded all the details with pictures now.
Can you confirm if there is a way to enable the printing as it seems to use the ANT datafields and not GAME...
I assume there is a setting somehwere to ensure both are kept seperate so that each program works on it's own without comflict.
Thanks,
AJW

This is not a problem or setting from the program itself, as for printing the AMC printing templates have to be adapted to SGC, this means the fields that do not exist on SGC (e.g. [Director]) have to be deleted or set to other fields (e.g. [Developer]). It could be done manually for the moment, as the report designer has not been updated yet.. but I'll do that this week.
Let me know which template you are using, maybe I'll find some minutes somewhere.. else you will have to wait 'til release version.
@antp: Maybe this thread should be moved to Mod section some time ?

I create my own templates and don't use the default ones.... All sorted on the printing side....
Would it be possible to know the field id's.
I used an XML template from this site which I use for movies, not I would like to adapt it the game database, just need to know which fields have been changed and what to.
e.g. on one of the code lines
return page(movies[category].length);
Thanks.

Sorted it myself...
I just renamed the output parameter in the XML file "Game Number" to "Movie Number"
Works sweet.
Thanks

Little bit confused now.. printing templates and XML ?
Btw.. if you have templates that work fine with Game Catalog and you'd like to share them with others, you can post them here. If they are nice and seem to be useful for others, I'd perhaps include some with the program.

Beginning...
I have been using Ant's movie database for a good while, best movie catalogue software (FREE) out at the moment.. I do a lot of updates, like weekly additions and print them off using various templates I created myself.
I wanted to make available online a searcheable filter listing of all the movies for colleagues, so I obtained the XML export utility designed for ANTS Movie Software from this forum.
Then, got the game systems chipped and obviously started to collect a good deal of games as well... And wanted to use the same XML export utility to share listing online, of which only needed a little tweak.
Hope that clarifies.
Thanks again for your previous help and look forward to any updates (like file size ;-) )

I updated the report designer (for printing, not for XML
![wink ;)](./images/smilies/wink.gif)
) to work with Game Catalog's variable's names. It will be included in the next SGC update.

I decided to change few fields with the next update: There will be three customizable fields (one drop-down, one edit, one memo) for user's own personal needs.. they can be renamed on preferences window (at least I hope so ^^) and hidden if not needed. No need to edit language file then for a "size" field.
