I like the way I manage my music in iTunes, I put different types of music in different CATALOGS.
I want to make CATALOGS for:
Animation
Guitar Instruction/ Rock/Surf/Christian/?
Comedy
and other CATALOGS, but I cannot figure out how to do it.
I see that I can add all that type of information, But not how to make DIFFERENT TYPES OF CATALOGS in which to put different types of movies.
How can I do this?
I cannot figure out how to setup AMC to file my Movie Collection like I have my music collection setup in iTunes.
It's easy for me to find the music I want to watch in iTunes.

Either make separate catalog files, or use "tools" -> "group by" menu to show the movies in groups.

As far as I know, iTunes handles multiple 'catalogs' at the same time. This is NOT possible with AMC.
If you want to use groups (this should be similar to iTunes 'catalogs') you simply write down the group or catalog name (=Animation or Comedy or whatever) into field 'Media Label' or field 'Genre'. Then use the 'tools -> group by' function from menu and choose the field that contains your catalog name (=Media Label or Genre). Now the movie list on the left should be filtered on your 'catalogs'.
You should avoid writing only capital letters on topics. This looks like you are 'shouting' at someone and seems to be not very friendly..

OOHHHHH, so it only makes one BIG catalog.

Yes.
If you don't like that you can hit the 'New' button (or File -> New) and begin a new, empty catalog, then save it to another name. But you can open only one catalog at the same time.

I have made 3: catalogs
Animation
Guitar Instruction
My Movies
In the My Movies catalog the movies are all grouped by Media Label.
In the Media Label typing box, I typed My Films.
Below are the movies I have put and linked to the My Movies catalog.
My Movies:
Contact.amc
FLATLINERS.amc
Ghost.amc
Lost in Space.amc
Minority Report.amc
Mission Imposible.amc
When I go to file/open/
It lets me pick a movie, but non of the other movies show up in the left window.
Can anyone help me to fix my AMC so it works correctly.
Shouldn't all of the movies in a cataolg be in the left window.
How do I get AMC to do that?
Thank You!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You are making one catalog per movie, I do not really see why...
You have to add movies into a catalog, using movie->add, then in your "my movies" catalog you will have a list of movies.
Did you read the help file?

When you use 'File -> Open' and choose an *.amc file, this is a catalog file. You should start with only one of such file..
Try again on the menu:
-> File -> New (Now you have a new, empty catalog without a name)
-> Movie -> Add (Now there should be an empty datapage for movie number 1)
-> Movie -> Get information -> From internet using a script (Now the scripts listing window should open)
-> Run a script (doubleclick, you will have to enter a movie name, script should fetch data from internet then)
-> When script has finished (and you hit OK) you should have 1 movie on your list, with title, cover picture and some informations about it
You should have your first movie on your catalog now. Do NOT start with step one again, now begin with step two (Movie -> Add) and add more movies to this list. Repeat that for some more films. Forget about groups and catalogs for the moment. Just try to get more films into that list. You can sort the films into groups later!
After you have some films on that list, choose -> File -> Save as and save the file (=your first catalog) to the name you like (i.e. catalog1.amc). You then can open that file again and add more movies to the list if you like..
