Cover Art gets mixed up when re-numbering by original title

Post by royser »

Hi
I have tried to search on this forum for an answer to my question with no success. I am a newbie also so please bear with me.

I built a database of approx 150 dvd titles and all was well until I made the mistake of renumbering the dvd list by the Original Title field. After this was done, none of the pictures match the dvd title. For example, the movie Breach now displays the picture of the movie Armageddon. Is there an easy way to rebuild the data base or do I have to manually re-enter all my dvd titles. And for future reference, how do I add titles to my list and keep them in alphabetical order and still display the proper picture?

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Hi,
It is not normal that the pictures do not match...
You mean that they do not match within the program or when exporting the list?
To sort movies, you have to click on column headers in main list. Renumber function renumbers, which is a different thing.

Thanks for the reply antp. I was just coming back to post that I had sorted it out. I was originally saving the movie picture by movie number and when I renumbered by the original title field to get into an alphabetized list the pictures stayed with the old number system. The fix was to save the pictures with the movie title name. Now I can renumber at will and the correct picture is always associated with the correct movie.

Thanks again
