Movie Title not unique

Hi! This is the first time I log-in but I already need an help!
When I look for a movie from a site using a script and I get many possibilities between various movies (I mean: my title is not unique on the site), I get a screen-table populated with the various movies found and I can see the relative page on Internet... this can take a long time if my movie is not the first I inspect.
Couldn't be possible populate the screen-table with the author of the movie, too? Thanks and sorry for my english, I'm Italian. :grinking:

Yes, that can be annoying, especially with some very common movie titles. But...

Technically, yes, the script could be written to also display the producer, director, or writer. For most scripts this would mean however that the script would have to actually grab the contents of every possible matching page - greatly increasing the time taken. At the moment the script is probably only grabbing the contents from one search page. What now takes 5-10 seconds to return a list of possible movie matches could take 2 - 5 minutes instead. This would be even more annoying for every movie than having to use the view page for the small number of movies with common/remade titles.

Without knowing what script/site you are talking about, it's unlikely to be a change someone would be looking to code. Still, let us know what script it is - maybe someone is extremely bored ;)

As you said, usually the script simply displays the results that are sent by the website. So if you do the same search on the site with your web browser you also only have the title (and usually the year, which is included in many scripts).

Oh, the Year could be very helpful, really, but FilmTV.it by Pivello (I'm actually using it) doesn't show the year (nor Filmut.it, terminalVideoItalia show it).
Could anyone add the year to this script ?
many thanks.

Well, in the case of that site it is not possible either, as a search result on the site do not include the year (unlike IMDB, for example).
