Dear Antoine! WOW! What a great great job in creating this prog for us all! I've just recently found it and am loving it!

I have a couple of questions, if you (or anyone else) could find the time to take a look, I'd be very happy. FYI I'm a complete idiot in programming, so I will need to be told everything like to a 5 year old. Sorry!

1) For some reason the IMDB will not complete the director for me

2) Is there any way that I could reduce the displayed categories to only the ones that are important for me? (e.g. I really have no need for things like rating, producer, source, borrower, etc. -- I like to keep my catalogue nice and simple and having all those blank fields ... well, it's just a bit complicated).

TIA for any answers!

Which version of the script are you using? To find out, open the scripting (Shift-F6) then select the IMDB script, and look at the information box in the bottom left.
There have been some changes to the IMDB site recently that has broken some functionality, although didn't think Director was one of the fields. It's working for me using the old 2.08 script with URL's changed to former.imdb.com - you may want to monitor this thread - viewtopic.php?t=3493&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=0

Don't believe so, without making changes to the source code and re-compiling.
As you use the program more you may find uses for those fields anyway. Many users have adapted some of the fields for their own purposes - particularly when you start outputting your catalogue to a web template.

Thanks ;)

I think that Thermal Ions said all what could be said to your two questions.

Don't worry about those blank sections Llike u I don't us ethe borroweds part nor the producer part and I just recently started printing it out in one of the templates and that stuff didn't even show up (I picked a template that I wanted and modified it to what I want took me about 40 minutes to figure out how to modifie and it prints out excellent). :grinking:
