I'm not sure to see what you mean. Can you post a screenshot? (or email it to me)
Sorry for the delay of the response

It's right next to the number the catalog assigns to it when entered.
If this doesn't clear it up then I'll do the screenshot.
Also, another question has popped up.
Somehow, I must have clicked something that told it to embed the movie picture in with the details of the movie (not talking about thumbnails). How do I get that out of there?
Thanks,
: )

You can either email me the screenshots or put them on
https://ks3c.antp.be/upload.php so I can retrieve them afterwards (but use a different name for each image)
About the movie picture, you mean storing the picture in the catalog, or is it just the picture that is displayed near the movie detail fields?
For the latter one, you can move the picture panel via the dotted line on it side or via its title bar if it is a floating window.

Picture displayed within the area with all the text data on the movie.
I prefer not to have that there.
Sorry for the long delay but I have been out of town without access to my catalog.
Thanks

So it is in the HTML view, hence why I didn't see what you meant

About embedding the picture, maybe it is just because you switched from edit view to HTML view? (F12 key)
Otherwise in HTML the contents depends on the selected template.
For your initial question, that "x" indicates if the movie is checked or not (the checkbox in the list, between the number and the title) and its color (right click on the checkbox in the list).
If these boxes are not visible in the list: Tools -> Preferences -> Movie List -> Checkboxes.
If you don't want these, you can edit the template and delete that line from it:
<td class="colortag" height="20" width="18">$$ITEM_CHECKED</td>
(in the file "HTMLDefaultTemplate.html", most likely)
And if you want to get rid of the picture in the HTML template, delete the line
<td class="wh" width="280"><img src="$$ITEM_PICTUREFILENAME" alt="poster" width="280" /></td>

Thanks a bunch....F12 worked like a toggle switch turning picture on and off. Now that I've seen the movie without the embedded picture I think I prefer having the picture there...but it's nice to know how to turn it off if I wanted to.
Couple of suggestions for a possible future update.
1) Get rid of that annoying little box by the numbers : )
2) I have several movie collections containing multiple DVDs in one box. I'd like to list all movies by name in the database but I see no way of indicating that movie is part of a collection and not in it's own individual case.
Would be great if that option was available and a line placed under the picture or title where I could edit the field and enter something like the following.
Part of The Godfather 3 Movie Collection
That way I'd know it was part of a boxed set...I have a ton of movies so this would be a timesaver.
3) Would be nice if the Add icon could be moved over just in front of the Get Information icon since they go together.
Thank you for your assistance,
Thomas

1. You can disable the box in the movie list from the options, as I said: Tools -> Preferences -> Movie List -> Checkboxes
Or if you mean in the HTML view, you can simply modify the template. The idea of that is to be customizable by the user, not everyone use all the features, but some still enjoy them.
2. You can use the field "Media" for example for this kind of usage. If you wish to show the movie in groups, there are options for that in Display -> Group By and in Tools -> Preferences -> Movie List -> Grouping.
You can find more information about all these features in the Help included with the program
3. If you want to use them together you can also enable the option to automatically open "Get information..." when adding a new movie, in Tools -> Movie / Extra information (options
Open "Get information..." window).
