Recent problems

Hi,

Not sure if anyone else is having this issue but when I choose any of the scripts to download movie info it searches using the name of the movie that's first on the list. If I abort and retry it picks the second movie on the list. I had no such problems last time I used AMC which was about 3 weeks ago.

Thank you

That happens when multiple movies are selected. It goes to the next movie when one is finished, successfuly or not.
You said that it was not like that 3 weeks ago. If you did not upgrade to a new version in that time, the behaviour of the program could not change :??:

I am not selecting multiple movies, I am just adding a new one and I have 3.5.0.2 version. I also downloaded the most recent version on another PC and same behavior occured. Maybe this affects only EN IMDB and Amazon scripts? Very strange.

What list ? Does it auto pick a movie, or can you choose ?

I have a movie list. About 430 movies. So when I add a new one, go to scripts to get the info and press F9 to run the script AMC auto populates the search string with the name of the movie that's on top of my list instead of the one I just added. If I abort and rerun the script, the search field is auto populated with the name of the second movie on my list and so on.

F6 you mean?

I do not really understand how you produce this "bug" :??:

After I add a movie I do Shift+F6 that brings up Scripting window. I already have IMDB preselected so I either click Run or press F9 which brings up a window with a search string. In the past it was auto-filled in with the name of the movie that was just added. Now it auto-fills with the name of the movie that's first in my movie list. Even if I erase it and retype the name of the new movie and do search the same window comes up with the second movie in my list.

Example: I am adding "Weird Science". I run the script to import data from IMDB and "IMDB Import" window comes up with a search string of "Die Hard with the Vengeance" which is the first movie in my catalog. If I abort it and try to run the script again it comes up with "Godfather" in the IMDB search title which is a second movie in my catalog and so on and so on.

I tried other scripts and it is doing the same thing so I doubt it's scripts problem.

OK now I think that I see the problem ;)
Shift+F6 is for batch scripting. For simply getting info from the web, using F6 is maybe better.
But anyway, if you use Shift+F6 you have to be sure that the "Movies to include" box on the right of the script window is set to "selected" rather than "all", or it will process your whole list.

That was it! I used to use Shift+F6 in the past and it always worked but now it shows All Movies. Just using F6 selects only the one I chose. Thank you for clearing it up for me. Great program by the way! :hihi:
