compressed archives..

well, my database is growin' and i was thinkin':
"why not to compress files when i close AMC and uncompress them at next start directly with th e program itself?"

What makes the database quite big is the pictures. And the pictures are already compressed since they're JPEG/PNG/GIF.

well... my database is XML and is 1.430.000 bites big.
Compressing it goes to 433.700 bites... so i was not thinking at pics.

I do not consider 1.4 MB as big
Seeing the capacity of the disks, handling a compressed file only to make it a little smaller when stored on the disk is not really interresting I think.
