Connecting through a firewall

Hi,
I am behind a firewall and no way to get around it. We use an automatic script for access to the internet.
In AMC I have no problems with 'Search Information on the Internet'. However, the scripts do not connect to the hosts and I get various Socket errors.
Please help. I would appreciate responses in English.
Thanks a Lot.

Did you configure your firewall to allow AMC to access to internet?
Do you use programs other then IE/Outlook that access to internet?
Do you use a proxy server for the internet access? You say "automatic script", you mean that IE discovers the proxy using a script? You have to download this script and open it, then find the real proxy address/port in this file.

Yes, Other programs can access. I tried Movie Tracker it works fine but I dont like it.

Yes exactly, the script is described in the LAN settings in the internet options of windows. So I need to go through each proxy and do a trial and error?

what do you mean by "each proxy"? There are lots of them in the script file?

Yes there are about 20 in the .PAC file. I have tired them all. However, based on my Domain, my connection should be DIRECT. As I said, I have tried other programs that connect to IMDB with no problems. I am stumped.

Maybe that other programs use IE to connect to internet. I should add that as an option in AMC, this would make the connection much easier for people in your case.
