Hi, I was wondering if someone can help me about this.

I have 3 copies of my file Movies.amc and neither one of them wants to open now. The software says --> Unable to load movies.amc: Cannot identify the fyle type from header.

I've tryed to run de .back file and the same.

Can anyone help me? Don't want to lose everysingle movie i have there.

With which version were these files made?
What version do you use now?
Try to open it with notepad (do not modify/save it with notepad!) and copy/paste the first 20 characters for example; the header that it tries to identify is there.

Can I save my .AMC?

Its about 30Mbs

I'll get in touch with u via MSN if u don't mind and then I can make a file transfer by that way.

OK. I'm usually connected in the evening (west-european time)

That's quite strange that AMC 3.5 cannot open this file, this error message should only occur when it does not recognize the beginning of the file, which is the good one in your case.

Hi!

My trouble is same as the first one: I can't open the saved *.amc file. The file is about 25 MB. I made it the last one AMC. The *.bak file doesn't work too (after rename it - *.amc, of course).

The error message is the same:
"Unable to load dvd film.amc: Cannot identify the fyle type from header"

These are the beginning characters from the *.amc file:

Please help me!

That's strange, there is no reason to get this message since the header seems correct :??: (Except if you try to load it with a version lower than 3.5 of course :D)

I'm a f...ckin' crazy, I mistake the version, installed an older version than 3,5 - of course... :))) I think I'm very brainy :o - but glad :hihi:

Thank you for got me on to the answer! :grinking:
