In the movie catalog itself the cyrillic text is displayed perfectly fine. In the print preview all cyrillic characters are in wrong encoding... Is there a way to fix it?

I know it has problem for greeks and hebrew characters, but it is strange that it does not work for cyrillic characters since this printing engine is from Russia
Maybe you have to change the fond used. Using the report designer, edit the report and select for example "Arial CYR" instead of "Arial" for each text block.
If it does not work, I do not really know how to make it work

yep, some printers has wrong fonts and print false symbols(not russian) with another font then Arial. You will need ajust "Loaded fonts" when you print.
may be it will help.
