Export with CSV: loosing line breaks

Hi,

I love AMC and I think it is really great :grinking: I have a slight problem though
when exporting to CVS, I am loosing line breaks. I understand it is in
fact a limitation of the CVS format (since each line stands for one movie
in te efile).

Would there be a way to put a tag or a special caracter to be able to
re-create those line breaks when analyzing the file that has been
produced ?

I have written a cool script in perl that takes the CSV file as input and
generates a website with it (including alphabetical index, thumbnails, etc).
I might post it on the site, when it is done, if anyone is interested in
this.

If I remember well, the line breaks are replaced by a "|"
If they are not, well I can't help you right now :/

Might work with XML ???

Hi again,

In fact, I guess another viable option would be to use the HTML export
with XML tags. That way it would be easy to retrieve all the needed info from the perl script and generate the HTML pages from that :)

I'll keep you updated on how that works ! =)

That's it !

Benco ! I found it ! =)

Yes, indeed, line breaks are stored in the XML file, in the form of a "|" character. I will definitely use the XML file as an input for my script.

So it was in the XML that I put the "|" :D I remembered that I used them, but I did not know where.
