ok, heres they problem.
when i delete those two default-guys, mike and um.. the other one from the loans menu (F9) save they database close the program and reopen it .... they're there again.
also if i add new friends to the loans list, save and close the program, then reopen it, there gone.
in other words, the loans menu doesnt save changes. does this work correctly for u guys ? have i done something wrong ?

The loans list is not saved
The only thing that is saved is who owns each movie.
The contents of the drop-down lists "borrowers" can be configured by Tools -> Preferences -> Drop-down lists (e.g. set that the list is filled by the values that are already used, to get the same behaviour than the Loans window)
