Hi Smiehu,

Sorry for the very late reply but effectively this is not possible.
This will be fixed in the next update of AMC 4.2.0 beta.
The base folder will be Catalogs for default catalog so you will only have to put Movies.amc.

hi soulsnake,

regarding my post about the closing error, a very quick test returns still an error but with different behaviour.

XP: AMC ends now and the good old Dr.Watson is going to be started.
W7: AMC ends now and an error message window says: Exception EOSError in module MovieCatalog.exe at 00012792, system Error, Code:1400, invalid WindowHandle

Whatever you have done, it´s better now ;)

Hi soulsnake,

Thanks for the update. Still same error with me, BUT I have found the reason. By default I have option "Soft borders for Movie List,..." enabled. When I disabled this option, error no longer occurs. Try to enable it and see if you can reproduce it.

Hi,

I think I have fixed error 1400 and all problems around this error for good :D.
For people who have this problem, can you test with this test executable :
http://mickaelvanneufville.online.fr/AM ... _TEST2.exe

Special thanks to J and elman !

Thank you.

html template suggestion

Hi soulsnake !

I have a few suggestions.

It would be good if every AMC file had a config or INI file where the necessary values can be set. These parameters could also be in the AMC file's header or INI file ?

The values would be:
default html template
picture's default size (setting export picture value)

when selecting a html template, the rolldown menu should instantly focus on the current template (lots of scrolling is required when there are too many templates)

If it's possible, it would also help if:

- when selecting a template, it would list only the template's directories first
- if a separate html template could be assigned to films individually (based on a custom field), if there is no such value, it should use the default html value

In the current version (and since 3.5 at least), you can launch AMC with a shortcut specifying
- the prefs.xml file to use
- the catalog to launch
so in that case all the settings could be stored in a different file, one per catalog for example, as long as you open the catalog by running the right shortcut.
Would that solve what you need?

Hi antp!

Unfortunately this not best solution for me :(
my every single series a unique AMC file (episode list)

Hi, I have found two small bugs in latest AMC
MovieCatalog.exe : version 4.2.0.1 (15.10.2013 21:54:28)

Pressing Ctrl+X in "File Path" puts content of the field into the clipboard, however it doesn't delete it. Might be an issue with the component as same behavior can be observed in "URL" field.

When importing X264 movie, video and audio bitrates are not imported.

This little problem will be fixed in next release.
When importing X264 movie, video and audio bitrates are not imported.
This problem should only occurs if you have 2 VBR streams in MKV (video + audio) and MKV has no index with stream sizes.
So Mediainfo can not compute bitrate for each stream and bitrate it is not available.
This problem mainly occurs when you have an aac audio stream.
See: http://sourceforge.net/p/mediainfo/bugs/753/

Hi,

I noticed that when I drag and drop media file onto AMC, media fields are imported + image located in the same folder as media file is also imported. I believe this behavior was not present in earlier versions of AMC.

I tried to find a switch in preferences but couldn't find one. Would it be possible to make one so that I can return to previous behavior?

You are right !
I added this new behavior to import picture automatically if it exists when you drag & drop a movie but I didn't add a new option to activate or not the import of picture when you drag &drop a movie.
I will add this new option for the final version of AMC 4.2 ;).
