1. Disable standby while importing a catalog
2. Integrate Dropbox
Thanks and I'm glad you like the app. Just yesterday I was testing standby mode and catalog import. It worked fine on my side - import started, then I let my phone to go into standby mode and when I turned it on, import resumed and everything finished all right.
Anyway I'll consider preventing phone going to sleep during import. Just be aware that the app will require another permission.
As for Dropbox, I really have no idea what Dropbox is since I never used it before and I have no idea how to integrate it. I will check it out if my time permits.

I've got my feature request (a little tiny one)
Would it be possible to manage the translated title please? It's handled neither through the filters or in the descriptions of movies.
Cheers!
There you have it. Check version 1.6.1 for managing Original title as well as Translated title.
Enjoy

Hi, SD card is just fine, no need to copy it to your tab.
Program doesn't find anything by itself. You
have to go to settings, click first setting on the top named "Catalog" and write full path and name of your catalog. In your case that would be "/sdcard/your_catalog.xml". If you decide to move your catalog to let's say folder named "catalog", you would write path "/sdcard/catalog/your_catalog.xml". Hope this helps.

Hi, I haven't seen SD card mounted as "external_sd". You shoud try
/sdcard/liste/DVDTHEQUE.xml
or
/mnt/sdcard/liste/DVDTHEQUE.xml
Let me know if it works.

hI
sorry not working.
i think i have a problem to leave the settings, how do you proceed ?
the only solution i have with the tab is to click in back button. for me it saves the settings as when i go back in settings the link for the catalog is there.
do i have to add other information to valid the settings ???

Hi Mates!!.
First of all, give us thanks a lot for that incredible suport for android devices.
I have a problem with my HTC desire. I try to explain the problem:
I have around 2000 movies on AMC database and when i try to import it, only import 4 movies and AMC pocket show this message:
I try to change the "Catalog Encoding", but same result.
I upload the BD on
https://rapidshare.com/files/1330933144/Peliculas.rar
Am i doing something wrong?
Thanks in advance

When you first open Settings, you first setting should have label "Catalog" and summary "Path to a catalog (e.g. /sdcard/ant.xml)". When you type in path to the catalog and click "OK", you should see your path in setting directly below label "Catalog". Do you see that? If so, it means settings are saved. After that just press back. App will restart itself.

Hi, you are doing everything just fine. As you can see, 4 movies are imported and 5th (Juno) crashes. Problem seems to be with special character in "Recaudación Esp.: 5.023.220,00 ". You can't see it in AMC, but it's there. You might try to place cursor at that line, press END and then backspace. Cursor will not move, but special character will be deleted.
Anyway you have quite a lot of these and other special characters in your catalog, so import will keep crashing until you fix them all.
I will try to work something out it in next version.

There is a bug in AMC's scripting functions, when unknown HTML entities ("&something;") are found in a page instead of being ignored they are converted to non-printable characters.
This will be fixed in the next version but in the meantime some catalogs may have such errors, depending on which script was used to import movie info.
It is rather easy to fix the whole catalog easily either by script or by doing a search/replace in the XML file. Open the XML in Firefox (for example), it indicates where an invalid character is found, then with a good text editor (Notepad++ for example) you can edit that (it shows these characters with special symbols) and do search/replace on them.
lampart, you can get the modified file from

Hmm... it seems as if my app can't open the xml file. Could you send me your xml file so that I can try it on my emulator?
Also I could send you special version with extended logging and you could see system log for specific error. You think you could manage that?
